The role of a US Foods Driver is pivotal within this organization, as drivers represent the face of the company to customers by ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This full-time position offers a competitive starting wage of $39.25 per hour, with potential earnings ranging up to $41.25 depending on experience, skills, and location. The work schedule typically includes Monday through Saturday shifts with Sundays and one weekday off, with start times between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m., averaging 50 to 60 hours per week.

As a US Foods Driver based in Plymouth, MN, you will be responsible for the safe operation of delivery trucks, ensuring that food products reach customers on schedule and in excellent condition. You will perform tasks that include unloading products carefully using tools such as two-wheelers or pallet jacks, verifying delivery accuracy, obtaining signatures, handling customer collections when necessary, and upholding high customer service standards. Safety checks such as pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections are also a critical part of the job.

This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift and move between 20 and 80+ pounds multiple times per shift, and the stamina to work in varying weather conditions with frequent stops. Professionalism, dependability, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Job Duties

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance the client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
