The role available at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess is a Food and Beverage leadership position reporting directly to the Director of Restaurants & Bars. This role plays an integral part in managing food and beverage operations, ensuring that service standards are met consistently, and facilitating smooth execution of group events both business and social. Responsibilities include leading and managing the Food and Beverage outlet team, maintaining complete knowledge of all outlet menus, and collaborating closely with the culinary team to enhance guest experiences.

Key operational duties involve forecasting, scheduling, labor control, beverage cost management, and managing departmental budgets. This position will also engage in recruitment and training of food and beverage colleagues, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards. The candidate will be responsible for handling guest concerns professionally, coordinating special requests, and assisting with event order preparation and execution. Working without supervision, the role demands a leader who is organized, communicative, and proactive in maximizing revenue opportunities through strategic promotions and effective team collaboration.

This full-time position is ideal for candidates with previous food and beverage leadership experience at the Assistant General Manager or General Manager level. Candidates should have robust interpersonal and problem-solving skills, be computer literate particularly with Microsoft Windows applications and point-of-sale systems, and preferably hold a degree in a related discipline.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food and beverage leadership required at AGM or GM level
  • 2-3 years preferred though not required
  • Adhere to Fairmont Scottsdale Princess grooming guidelines
  • Previous point of sale system experience required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required
  • University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

Job Duties

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all company, property and departmental policies and procedures
  • Lead and manage the F&B Outlet team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
  • Manage execution of group events both business and social, including but not limited to
  • Food & Beverage offerings, set up and execution operating as direct liaison with group contact
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly and professionally
  • Coordinate special requests and follow up with colleagues & management teams
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of F&B colleagues
  • Balance operational, administrative and colleague needs
  • Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings
  • Work closely with culinary team to ensure a successful service and guest experience
  • Forecasting, scheduling and labor control
  • Beverage cost management
  • Maximize revenues by communicating regularly with the Food and Beverage teams to implement agreed upon strategies, practices and promotions
  • Works without supervision to ensure operation is running efficiently
  • Assist with preparation of restaurant event orders as directed
  • Assist with planning and execution of legacy events
  • Attend designated meetings
  • Assist with silverware programming as champion
  • Assist with obtaining designated Avero reports
  • Assist with TAS
  • Assist with ARM request as needed
  • Assist with corporate compliance in menus and practices
  • Assist with online menu accuracy as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Have full knowledge of all outlet menus
  • Manage the departmental budget
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
