Situated within one of BioLife's state-of-the-art Plasma Donation Centers, the role of Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) is a vital position that supports plasma center operations under the guidance of the Plasma Center Manager and oversight of the Center Physician. This role focuses on donor eligibility determination, donor safety, medical supervision, and regulatory compliance. The Medical Support Specialist plays a key part in ensuring the integrity of plasma collection, which directly impacts patients worldwide who depend on these therapies.

As a Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will have a crucial role in assessing donor eligibility for plasma donation, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors about unsatisfactory testing outcomes. Working collaboratively with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs team, this role also involves contributing to environmental health and safety initiatives, employee incident management, and participating in vaccination programs such as Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu. You will be trained specifically for this role following FDA-approved processes to maintain high standards required in the plasma industry.

BioLife values professionalism and expertise; thus, candidates must be licensed or certified nurses (LPN or LVN) with appropriate CPR, AED certifications, and IV therapy capabilities as per state standards. A minimum of two years of clinical or hospital experience is necessary to thrive in this position. This role offers the opportunity to work full-time as a regular employee with steady pay ranging from $23.04 to $31.68 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and location in Columbus, GA.
