The position available is for a full-time plasma collection facility manager located in Worcester, Massachusetts. This role reports directly to the District Manager and is responsible for the overall management of the facility’s operations including employees, production, and regulatory compliance. With a salary range of $100,280 to $137,885 annually, the manager directs financial, marketing, administrative, quality, personnel, and facility management tasks. This position requires strong leadership to ensure high donor retention, customer satisfaction, production efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality guidelines.

Key responsibilities include overseeing hiring, training, and employee development; monitoring operational metrics and costs; managing regulatory audits and compliance with federal, state, and company standards; and ensuring donor and employee safety through strict adherence to bloodborne pathogen protocols. The manager will also engage in strategic forecasting and goal attainment related to production targets and operational expenses. With a focus on creating a positive donor experience and maintaining a productive and safe workplace, the role demands excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years' relevant experience preferably in a medical or regulated field
  • Valid and current CPR and AED certification
  • Ability to work weekends and extended shifts
  • Ability to travel occasionally
  • Physical ability to be mobile for entire shift
  • Capacity to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, lean, reach above shoulders and below knees, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Fine motor coordination and depth perception
  • Ability to monitor equipment sound from a distance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years' experience preferably in a medical or other regulated field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid and current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) certification
  • Ability to work weekends, extended work periods, and occasionally travel
  • Ability to be mobile for entire work shift
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, leaning, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception and ability to monitor equipment sound from a distance

Job Duties

  • Oversee operations within the plasma collection facility using data to monitor metrics
  • Oversee employee hiring, training, and develop employee talent
  • Provide leadership to ensure donor retention, high customer service levels, production monitoring, and cost data management
  • Comply with all federal, state, local and company regulations related to quality of product, employee and donor safety
  • Manage facility audit processes and resolve issues arising from audits
  • Forecast and attain production and cost goals while ensuring compliance with BioLife, local, and federal regulations
  • Manage bloodborne pathogens protocols
