Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- graduate equivalent of recognized nursing program with state requirements
- valid state licensure or certification as EMT-Paramedic or EMT-Intermediate
- current CPR and AED certification
- fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- successful completion of FDA approved Medical Support Specialist training
- a minimum of two years clinical or hospital work experience
Job Qualifications
- graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
- currently licensed or certified in the assigned state as EMT-Paramedic or EMT-Intermediate
- current CPR and AED certification
- completion of FDA approved training for Medical Support Specialists
- minimum two years clinical or hospital experience
- familiarity with plasma collection regulations and medical protocols
Job Duties
- determine donor eligibility including informed consent and medical history review
- manage donor adverse reactions and evaluate donor safety
- review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings
- follow medical emergencies SOPs and coordinate with Center Physician and emergency services
- support employee vaccination programs and manage employee health incidents
- act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support related investigations
- provide center level support for environmental health and safety protocols
