The Plant Operator/Local Delivery Driver role based in Roseville, MN, at Airgas is a dual-function position that combines the responsibilities of safely operating a plant facility and delivering compressed gas cylinders to customers within the local and regional areas. Acting as ambassadors for Airgas, employees in this role take pride in managing the flow of cylinders efficiently and building lasting relationships with customers. This position requires the operation of company-provided straight or box trucks and involves delivering cylinders containing compressed gases, maintaining accurate delivery records, and adhering strictly to safety protocols and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. The Plant Operator/Local Delivery Driver will also provide warehouse support and assistance on the dock as needed.

The role demands a blend of physical capability, including routinely lifting weights ranging from 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally heavier loads up to and exceeding 125 pounds with material handling equipment. Candidates must hold a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License, valid Medical Examiner's Card, and preferably a Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain one. The position requires driving hazardous cargo safely for up to 8 hours daily and the ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and obtain forklift operator certification.
