Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Some maintenance experience preferred
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Dependability and punctuality
- Successful completion of level two background check
- Ability to respond to emergency calls and perform timely repairs
Job Qualifications
- Some working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances
- Effective communication skills in English with residents and staff
- Ability to take direction well
- Valid Driver's License
- Successful completion of level two background check
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred technical certificate or degree
- Preferred 2-3 years maintenance experience in residential apartments, commercial buildings, or hotels
- Experience in long term care or nursing home environment preferred
Job Duties
- Performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, drywall/concrete repairs, painting, repairing doors and locks
- Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
- Completes all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information
- Maintain attendance by being dependable and punctual
- Perform general maintenance and repair techniques using appropriate materials, tools, and equipment
