Currently, Regency Oaks is seeking dedicated and hospitality-focused individuals to join their maintenance team as Plant Operations Technician I and II. These full-time and weekend positions are pivotal in maintaining the upkeep and functionality of the community’s residential and public areas. The Plant Operations Tech I & II roles are designed for individuals who take pride in performing hands-on maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately, ensuring the safety and comfort of both residents and staff. The role includes routine and emergency repairs, covering a wide array of maintenance skills such as plumbing, electrical work, drywall, concrete repairs, painting, and lock repairs. The technicians respond to urgent maintenance requests and ensure all work orders are completed on time with detailed reporting of the tasks performed and the equipment used.
Employees in these roles play a crucial role in the overall operations of Regency Oaks by ensuring that all maintenance issues are addressed promptly and effectively, contributing directly to the well-being and satisfaction of residents. The ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma or GED and preferably some technical certificate or degree, although this is not required. Experience in long-term care or nursing home environments, along with 2-3 years of maintenance experience in residential apartments, commercial buildings, or hotels, is preferred.
The work schedule offers flexibility with full-time hours from Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and part-time weekend shifts available either from Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Compensation ranges between $17.00 and $20.00 per hour, depending on experience, demonstrating Regency Oaks’ competitive pay scale.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings, repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures, drywall/concrete repairs, painting, repairing doors and locks
- Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
- Completes all work orders in a timely manner while providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information
- Maintain attendance by being dependable and punctual
- Perform general maintenance and repair techniques using appropriate materials, tools, and equipment
