We are currently seeking hospitality-focused Plant Operations Tech I professionals to join our team on a part-time basis during weekends only, specifically on Saturdays and Sundays. This role is crucial in maintaining the overall upkeep and safety of both residential and public areas within the community through diligent maintenance and timely repairs. Plant Operations Tech I staff are responsible for performing routine and emergency repairs involving electrical, plumbing, painting, locks, and other general maintenance tasks that contribute directly to residents' comfort and well-being. The job requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and handle emergency situations promptly.

This position offers a competitive pay rate of $17.00 per hour and comes with significant benefits, including a $1,000 sign-on bonus, underscoring Regency Oaks' commitment to attracting and retaining dedicated talent. Responsibilities encompass executing assigned work orders efficiently while documenting detailed information about the maintenance tasks and equipment used. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one year of experience in long-term care or nursing home maintenance
  • preferred but not required technical certificate or degree
  • 2-3 years maintenance experience in residential apartment complex, commercial building, or hotel preferred
  • valid driver’s license
  • successful completion of level two background check
  • ability to work weekends only
  • strong attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Some working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to take direction well
  • experience in long-term care or nursing home setting preferred
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and door repairs
  • respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
  • complete all work orders timely with detailed reports
  • maintain punctuality and dependable attendance
