Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one year of experience in long-term care or nursing home maintenance
- preferred but not required technical certificate or degree
- 2-3 years maintenance experience in residential apartment complex, commercial building, or hotel preferred
- valid driver’s license
- successful completion of level two background check
- ability to work weekends only
- strong attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Some working knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- valid driver’s license
- ability to take direction well
- experience in long-term care or nursing home setting preferred
- strong problem-solving skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas including electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, and door repairs
- respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
- complete all work orders timely with detailed reports
- maintain punctuality and dependable attendance
- communicate effectively with residents and staff
- adhere to safety standards and procedures
- use tools and equipment properly for maintenance tasks
