Job Duties

  • Achieve financial goals
  • Track P&L metrics and participate in financial analysis and planning
  • Assist the Market Manager to develop and manage the annual capital expenditure, sales forecasts, P&L management for assigned plant
  • Review and approve invoices, expenses and other accounting reports as required by policy
  • Evaluate, recommend and implement capital improvement projects that contribute to increased efficiencies
  • Track budgets and progress towards monthly/annual sales and profit targets
  • Support Market Manager by helping prepare, analyze, and reconcile financial reports
  • Discuss financial performance with Market Manager and define plans for financial corrections
  • Promote a performance-driven and continuous-improvement environment
  • Foster innovation and creativity within the plant
  • Seek ways to improve KPIs, particularly decreasing cost per unit while maintaining quality
  • Evaluate manufacturing, production and logistics processes for improved efficiency
  • Work with Market Manager to provide insights on process improvement opportunities
  • Manage all manufacturing and logistics activities for assigned plant
  • Oversee production to ensure fulfillment of customer orders
  • Ensure on schedule and on budget delivery
  • Assess plant performance against operating plans and standards
  • Maintain plant safety programs including PSM, RMP and HACCP
  • Maintain preventive maintenance program
  • Act as incident commander/responder for Hazmat incidents
  • Manage hiring, training and performance of delivery drivers
  • Manage driver scheduling, delivery execution and related metrics
  • Drive safety and compliance including vehicle inspection and accident reporting
  • Manage handheld devices, fuel cards and fleet
  • Emphasize safety programs and assure highest safety standards
  • Track and communicate safety metrics
  • Investigate and review accidents with follow-up
  • Manage staffing for labor efficiencies
  • Establish performance standards and manage performance reviews
  • Conduct staff meetings and communicate key information
  • Supervise, develop and coach plant supervisors
  • Support employee growth and development
  • Identify and mentor top talent
