Job Description

Mariani Enterprises LLC is a leading company in the outdoor living and landscaping industry dedicated to creating exceptional environments across the United States. The company prides itself on building a "family of family companies" nationwide, fostering a collaborative network of locations where employees can grow their careers and learn from top experts in the field. Known for working on some of the nation’s largest and most complex landscape projects, Mariani Enterprises offers endless opportunities for professional development and innovation. By joining this company, employees become part of a dynamic team focused on quality, safety, and sustainable practices in landscaping and outdoor living.

The open position is for a Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician based in Lifescape Colorado, a branch of Mariani Enterprises dedicated to exceptional plant health and maintenance. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about plant biology, integrated pest management, and sustainable horticultural practices. The PHC Technician will be responsible for upholding the Lifescape Plant Health Care Program, ensuring quality control in the application of treatments, and maintaining accurate documentation. This position requires someone who works well with others, possesses leadership qualities, and takes direction effectively. A continuous desire to progress and learn is essential for success in this role.

The Plant Health Care Technician plays a key role in safeguarding plant health by accurately mixing and storing pesticides, maintaining chemical logs, performing fertilization and integrated pest management practices, and completing diagnostic reports to monitor plant conditions. Understanding the life cycles of native Colorado insects and diseases, plant biology, and soil biology is fundamental to the role. The technician will monitor pest control and fertilization results, communicating progress and adjustments as needed, all while complying with federal, state, and local regulations concerning pesticide application.

Additionally, the PHC Technician manages crew-related activities, including keeping accurate time records, communicating effectively with team members about material and design changes, maintaining PHC vehicles and inventory, and reporting any employee issues to management. Seasonal snow removal duties are also part of the role, requiring plowing, shoveling, and ice melt application in accordance with established property guidelines.

This role demands certification such as a CDA Pesticide Applicators License (QS or CO preferred), a valid driver’s license with insurance carrier approval, and at least two years of field experience. Knowledge and experience in pest and disease identification, chemical safety, and snow removal machinery operation are critical. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.

Mariani Enterprises is committed to pay transparency, equity, and compliance with all relevant employment laws, offering a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $65,000 plus bonuses. The company values diversity and ensures a discrimination-free workplace, supporting each employee's growth within a supportive and respectful environment. This role not only offers the chance to work with industry leaders but also to contribute to a company that prioritizes environmental stewardship and community involvement.
