The role available at EnerSys is a pivotal position focused on the complete operation of a designated production area. This role entails overseeing daily production scheduling, ensuring operations align with the published production backlog, and maintaining stringent product quality standards. As a production supervisor, the successful candidate will play a key role in managing personnel decisions, including hiring, evaluating performance, and facilitating transfers or promotions. This position is also responsible for conducting training sessions for assigned team members, promoting the growth of skills and knowledge within the workforce.

Safety is a critical priority in this role, with the supervisor expected to enforce and uphold company safety requirements to maintain a secure working environment. The job demands effective communication and leadership skills, notably in coordinating with team members, management, and vendors to optimize production efficiency and meet quality benchmarks.

Job Duties

  • Oversee the daily scheduling of production lines using published production backlog
  • Assist in hiring decisions and the selection of department personnel for assignment of duties, promotion, transfer, and discharge, including evaluations and performance reviews
  • Maintain product quality using workmanship standards, assembly instructions, test procedures, and other applicable documentation
  • Conduct training of assigned personnel
  • Maintain safety of work area according to company safety requirements
