The role in question focuses on assembly line operations, specifically the assembly of products that contribute to the company’s industrial energy solutions. Responsibilities include operating equipment, conducting inspections for quality assurance, managing scrap control, and performing mechanical tasks using hand and power tools. The position requires collaboration with maintenance teams to minimize machine downtime and adherence to ISO, environmental, and safety protocols. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to lift, stand for extended periods, and work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- Must be able to differentiate colors
- Must be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds/23 kilos on a daily continuous basis
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Responsible for wearing required Personal Protective Equipment properly at all times
- Must be able and willing to wear a respirator
- Must be able and willing to work overtime
- Must be able and willing to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Risk of electrical shock
- Exposure to harmful materials such as lead/fiberglass products
- Periodic blood tests required
- Must work in a plant/warehouse environment with varying conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to do basic math (subtract, multiply, divide, percentages)
- Ability to read, write, understand, and interpret instructions
- Manufacturing experience preferred
Job Duties
- Start-up and operate equipment
- Troubleshoot and make adjustments to equipment as necessary
- Understand and follow all department instructions and procedures
- Visually inspect material for defects
- Control scrap
- Must be able to count and record production as necessary
- Perform daily housekeeping and cleanliness procedures
- Follow all ISO, environmental, and safety procedures
- Perform mechanical works using hand/power tools to construct and manufacture products
- Pack and secure materials for transport
- Work as part of a production team and liaise with maintenance to minimize machine downtime
