We are currently seeking a skilled and energetic Pizza Oven Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves bringing handcrafted pizzas and crave-worthy appetizers to life in a fast-paced kitchen setting where precision, consistency, and pride in the craft are essential. As a Pizza Oven Line Cook, you will be responsible for efficiently operating the pizza oven, stretching dough, applying toppings, and carefully monitoring cooking times and temperatures to ensure that every pizza meets our high standards. You will also prepare additional menu items, follow plating guides, and maintain consistent presentation and portion control.

This position requires someone who thrives under pressure in a high-energy kitchen, maintains clear communication with fellow team members and expediters, and supports prep, stocking, and cleaning duties as needed. Employees in this role contribute significantly to the overall dining experience by upholding food safety and sanitation standards while delivering dishes that delight our guests. The pay rate for this position is $22.35 per hour, reflecting our commitment to rewarding skilled culinary professionals who bring enthusiasm and expertise to their work. Job Requirements

  • minimum of one year line cook experience in a restaurant
  • current San Diego County Food Handler’s Card
  • flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive motions
  • manual dexterity for food preparation
  • ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
  • comfortable working in high temperatures and around open flames

Job Qualifications

  • strong understanding of pizza dough handling and oven techniques
  • knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • minimum of one year line cook experience in a restaurant
  • previous pizza or wood-fired oven experience preferred
  • current San Diego County Food Handler’s Card
  • strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • detail-focused, dependable, and able to thrive under pressure with a positive attitude

Job Duties

  • thrive in a high-energy kitchen while preparing and finishing pizzas to established recipes and quality standards
  • safely and efficiently operate the pizza oven while stretching dough, applying toppings, and monitoring cooking times and temperatures
  • accurately follow recipes and plating guides to bring each dish to life
  • cook, fry, mix, and plate additional menu items ensuring consistent presentation and portion control
  • maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • communicate clearly with kitchen team members and expediters during service
  • support prep work, stocking, and cleaning duties, handle high-volume service with accuracy and composure
