Baby Luc's in Carroll Gardens is a neighborhood pizzeria famed for serving whole pies, slices, and a variety of delightful beverages. We are currently seeking to fill multiple positions, focusing on the role of Pizza Maker. This position is vital to the kitchen operations, ensuring that classic pizzas are expertly prepared, and that the workstation is set up meticulously with all ingredients organized according to the restaurant’s standards. As a Pizza Maker at Baby Luc's, the successful candidate will follow a detailed prep list created by chefs, meticulously measure and prepare ingredients, and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
The role requires attention to detail as well as physical stamina to handle the demands of kitchen work, including lifting ingredients, enduring various physical positions, and working efficiently within a team. Ideal candidates will have prior food preparation experience, fluency in English for effective communication, and the ability to maintain kitchen organization and compliance with sanitation guidelines. Candidates with a high school diploma or culinary training certificate and a NYC Food Handlers Permit are preferred. Job Duties
- Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
- Label and stock all ingredients to be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting, etc
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by approved procedures, sanitizing surfaces, etc
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with sanitation guidelines
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
