Boxcar Bar + Arcade is a vibrant and locally-owned hospitality and entertainment company with four unique locations across North Carolina. The role of Pizza Pro at Boxcar is vital to keeping the party going. This position requires a culinary professional passionate about scratch-made pizza who can work skillfully under pressure while engaging with guests. The Pizza Pro is responsible for executing Boxcar’s signature hand-tossed dough recipes with precision and consistency, ensuring every pizza meets the company’s high standards. Given the open-kitchen format, this role also involves direct customer interaction, taking orders, running the POS system, and maintaining smooth communication with the front-of-house team. The Pizza Pro must efficiently handle large catering orders for private events without compromising the flow of the main kitchen line. In addition, this person is responsible for performing essential prep work, managing inventory, and upholding strict food safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring the kitchen remains organized and spotless throughout shifts. Closing duties, including deep cleans and dishwashing, are also part of the comprehensive responsibilities to maintain a professional and inviting kitchen environment.
