Boxcar Bar + Arcade is a locally-owned hospitality and entertainment company with four distinct locations spread across North Carolina. Job Requirements

  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • ability to hand-toss dough preferred
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification preferred
  • reliable and punctual
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • physically able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
  • commitment to a no-tolerance policy for disrespect
  • willingness to perform cleaning and closing duties

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • experience with hand-tossed dough is a major plus
  • ServSafe Food Handler Certification is a plus
  • ability to interact with guests and work in open kitchen
  • strong teamwork skills
  • conscientiousness and genuine hospitality
  • physical ability to stand for 8 hours and lift over 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Sling dough
  • execute scratch-made recipes consistently, from hand-tossing to perfect bake
  • take orders and operate POS in an open kitchen format
  • interact directly with guests while working
  • manage large catering orders without slowing down the main line
  • handle prep work, inventory management, and station cleanliness
  • perform dishes, deep cleaning, and closing duties
