Job Description
Glenmoor Country Club, a premier and distinguished country club, is renowned for providing exceptional dining experiences, top-notch recreational facilities, and a welcoming community environment. Operating with a strong commitment to quality and member satisfaction, Glenmoor offers a variety of casual dining outlets, pool operations, outdoor venues, banquets, and special member events. Situated in Colorado, the club prides itself on its professional, team-oriented kitchen culture, fostering an atmosphere that encourages culinary innovation and growth. Glenmoor functions in a non-tipping environment, ensuring team members receive consistent hourly wages based on experience and qualifications rather than gratuities, which enhances job stability and workplace fairness.
The Pizza Cook / Pizzaiolo role at Glenmoor is an exciting opportunity linked to the planned acquisition and launch of a unique outdoor pizza oven trailer operation. This position holds a critical function in supporting the club’s diverse food service operations by preparing high-quality, handcrafted pizzas using fresh ingredients and time-honored techniques. The position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $23.00 to $25.00 per hour and is a seasonal role with schedules adapted to business needs, club events, and operational demands, providing more consistent scheduling compared to traditional restaurant settings. The role includes participation in banquets, pool service, golf events, outdoor cooking stations, and other special functions, contributing broadly to the club’s dynamic culinary offerings.
In this role, the Pizza Cook / Pizzaiolo is responsible for crafting delicious pizzas, starting from preparing dough, sauces, and toppings, to expertly stretching, shaping, topping, baking, and finishing each pizza using various high-temperature ovens including wood-fired and stone hearth types. The position demands attention to detail with regard to dough fermentation, proofing, and presentation, as well as strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, allergen awareness, and workplace safety standards. Given Glenmoor’s commitment to inclusivity and member wellbeing, this role requires knowledge of allergen management, including the preparation of gluten-free and allergen-sensitive items using separate utensils and strict handling procedures.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to contribute to menu development and seasonal specials, ensuring the pizza offerings align with culinary trends and member preferences. The role also requires maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper food storage standards at the pizza station and across operational areas. Glenmoor encourages a positive, professional appearance and team-oriented attitude, fostering a collaborative and supportive kitchen environment. The position promises opportunities for growth and advancement within Glenmoor’s culinary team, making it an excellent career pathway for passionate cooks aiming to specialize in artisanal pizza preparation within an esteemed country club setting.
