Job Requirements

Minimum of 1 year culinary or kitchen experience
Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift up to 30 pounds
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varying shifts
Strong communication skills
Commitment to following food safety and sanitation protocols
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Willingness to perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year culinary or kitchen experience, preferably making pizza
Ability to clearly communicate with team members
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to operate basic kitchen equipment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Flexibility to work nights and weekends based on business needs

Job Duties

Work closely with the culinary team and support overall café operations
Understand and uphold the Erewhon brand and café menu
Prepare pizza dough by hand-stretching, sauces, and various toppings including vegetables and meats
Monitor pizza oven temperatures and cooking times
Prepare high-quality pizzas according to company recipes
Monitor inventory levels and place supply orders as needed
Clean workstations before pizza preparation
Sterilize all utensils and cooking equipment before use
Assist in preparing and cooking various café food items while adhering to quality and portion standards
Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as directed by the Culinary Manager
Complete end-of-day inventory and other opening/closing duties according to company procedures
Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained and food is stored correctly
Maintain a clean and sanitized work area, equipment, and coolers
Assist the Culinary Team with incoming orders and store inventory accordingly
Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Follow proper knife safety procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by management
