Job Requirements
- Previous experience cooking pizza from scratch
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm
- Willingness to interact with customers in an open kitchen environment
- Ability to follow food safety and cleanliness standards
- Must be able to perform physical tasks required in a kitchen setting
- Willingness to attend safety and in-service meetings
- Ability to abide by company policies and procedures
- Legal authorization to work
- Must be able to work in the specified location of Corteva Ceres, Johnston, IA
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience cooking pizza from scratch
- Experience with prep work and open kitchen settings involving customer interaction
- Ability to prepare food according to federal, state and corporate standards
- Knowledge of proper food handling and safety procedures
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Experience operating and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Basic record-keeping skills
- Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines
- Commitment to personal and workplace safety
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked during service periods
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat and ensures food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
- Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- Personal commitment to own safety and that of others
- Abides by all company policies and procedures relevant to kitchen safety and food preparation
- Performs other duties as assigned
