As a Pizza Chef at California Pizza Kitchen, you will play an essential role in bringing California creativity to every meal and ensuring that each guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. In your daily responsibilities, you will work with the "Dough-Pro" machine and other kitchen equipment to ensure timely and consistent preparation of all recipe items. The Pizza Chef also supports line checks and completes prep par sheets during each shift to guarantee smooth kitchen operations. Safety and cleanliness are paramount, so you will be expected to practice and promote safe handling of cutting boards, knives, countertops, and equipment. Additionally, maintaining the proper temperature of kitchen tools and performing thorough station opening and closing duties are critical components of your role.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three to six months experience or training in food preparation
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic food safety knowledge
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
