Oregano's Pizza Bistro is currently looking to hire full-time cooks who are passionate about the culinary arts and eager to work in a vibrant, team-oriented restaurant environment. The role of a cook at Oregano's is essential in ensuring every guest receives perfectly prepared food in a timely manner, adhering closely to established recipes and procedural guidelines. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume cooking environments, whether it be full-service restaurants, fast-casual dining, or fast food kitchens. Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older and must be eighteen years of age to operate some kitchen equipment
High-volume line cook experience preferred
Valid state accredited food safety and handling certification
Ability to hear and communicate with staff in a loud work environment
Ability to withstand temperatures equal to or less than 0F and equal to or greater than 100F
Prolonged periods of standing and working up to 8 hours in a kitchen
Must be able to lift, balance, and carry up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet
Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination in using commercial cleaning equipment and products

Job Qualifications

High-volume line cook experience preferred
Valid state accredited food safety and handling certification
Ability to hear and communicate with staff in a loud work environment
Ability to withstand temperatures equal to or less than 0F and equal to or greater than 100F
Prolonged periods of standing and working up to 8 hours in a kitchen
Must be able to lift, balance, and carry up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet
Manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination in using commercial cleaning equipment and products

Job Duties

Ensures perfect food is cooked for every guest, every meal
Adheres to recipes, procedural direction, and prep lists
Efficiently runs assigned station(s) throughout shift
Cleans, organizes, and sanitizes work areas
Maintains compliance with food service health, safety, food handling, and hygiene codes and standards
Supports all kitchen teammates, particularly with dishwashing tasks, because everyone's job is everyone's job
Reports any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
Performs all duties and responsibilities according to the Oregano's Team Member Handbook
