This particular role is for a Pizza Chef, a critical position on the culinary team. The Pizza Chef monitors and upholds the highest standards of food quality and sanitation to ensure every dish meets the signature California Pizza Kitchen quality. They are skilled in operating specialized equipment like the 'Dough-Pro' machine and are responsible for preparing and maintaining all necessary items for their station. The role requires attention to detail in both food preparation and safety practices, including the proper handling of knives, cutting boards, and countertops. A Pizza Chef actively supports the line check process and ensures the station is fully prepped according to prep par sheets every shift. They also perform opening, closing, and side work tasks to maintain an efficient and clean station.

Job Duties

  • Maintain the highest standards for food quality and sanitation
  • assure timely preparation of all pizza station recipes
  • operate and be an expert with the Dough-Pro machine
  • support the line checks process and complete prep par sheets every shift
  • prepare all necessary items for the station as needed
  • practice and teach safe and sanitary handling of cutting boards, countertops, knives, and equipment
  • maintain proper temperature of equipment and perform station opening, closing, and side work duties each shift
