The role of Pitmaster/Meat Cutter at Jim N Nicks Bar-B-Q is a critical position responsible for the execution of all pit and meat operations within the kitchen. This position demands expertise in handling smokers and managing the preparation of smoked meats to guarantee the highest quality and consistent flavor that the brand is known for. The Pitmaster/Meat Cutter oversees food quality management, ensuring all smoked meats meet the company’s standards for taste, texture, and safety. They adhere strictly to established processes, procedures, and safety and sanitation practices to maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment. Additionally, the role involves managing inventory, monitoring food waste, and executing brand excellence through high food quality standards consistently. The position requires someone with previous experience in roles such as Pitmaster, Meat Cutter, Line Cook, Expediter, Prep Cook, or Fry/Salad Chef, who brings skill, passion, and a cooperative attitude to the dynamic team. This is an hourly position with a competitive pay rate of $15 to $19 per hour, complemented by flexible scheduling options tailored to balance work and personal life effectively.
