As a company route driver at Ole, your role is vital to maintaining the smooth operation of the distribution process, ensuring that fresh products reach grocery stores in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires reliability and responsibility, as you will be the face of Ole when delivering products to grocery stores, including chains and independent retailers. Your duties will include managing all transport-related tasks such as picking up and dropping off tortillas and related materials like cardboard displays according to a scheduled route. You will need to maintain accurate travel logs to record work hours, travel times, and locations, ensuring all information is properly documented and communicated.

The role further demands that you perform routine checks on the company vehicle, including daily inspections to maintain vehicle safety and performance standards. Being proactive about vehicle maintenance and cleanliness is crucial to the role, along with ensuring the company vehicle is always parked legally to avoid towing or fines. Additionally, you will be expected to adapt travel routes efficiently to circumvent traffic congestion or road construction, helping to maintain punctual deliveries and optimize route efficiency. Communication with management is key when reporting any accidents, injuries, or vehicle damage, as well as informing the company of any tickets or fines received during work hours.

To excel in this position, you must have experience with handheld devices and printers for creating invoices and credits, alongside a solid knowledge of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) processes specifically related to grocery store deliveries. Physical capability to load products from the warehouse and unload them at client accounts is necessary, as is merchandising skills to ensure that products are displayed attractively and appropriately in stores. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are advantageous, facilitating better communication and service in a diverse customer and team environment.

This is an on-site role that does not offer remote or hybrid arrangements. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, underscoring the importance of safety and professionalism in this role.
