Job Description
Flanigan's is a well-established restaurant chain known for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and dedication to providing guests with a memorable dining experience. As a cornerstone in the hospitality industry, Flanigan's prides itself on fostering a vibrant, customer-focused environment where every visitor feels like family. The company operates with strong values centered around excellent customer service, creating a fun and engaging workplace, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. This makes Flanigan's an ideal place for individuals who thrive in dynamic, people-oriented roles and aim to contribute positively to the service industry.
We are currently looking to hire a Host/Hostess who will be the very first and last smiling face our guests encounter at Flanigan's. This critical role requires someone with a warm personality and exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of setting the perfect tone for each guest's entire dining experience. You will be responsible for greeting guests with genuine hospitality, managing seating arrangements efficiently, and ensuring that inquiries or concerns are properly directed to management when necessary. Additionally, you will help maintain a clean and inviting environment at the entrance, including restocking menus, tidying the foyer, and overseeing restroom cleanliness.
As a Host/Hostess, your interactions begin the moment guests walk in the door and continue until their departure. You will engage guests by using Flanigan's unique "Smile Talk" approach, which encourages friendly conversation to help guests feel comfortable and well-cared for. Managing the wait list and coordinating seating flow will require organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively during peak times. You'll play a key role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming atmosphere that encourages returning customers. The position also involves answering telephone calls promptly, handling guest questions with professionalism, and coordinating shift changes and sidework during opening and closing duties.
This role is perfect for individuals who are energetic, approachable, and committed to creating a positive guest experience from start to finish. A successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can maintain composure with a cheerful and courteous temperament throughout their shift. The employment type and specific salary details can be discussed during the application process. However, Flanigan's offers competitive pay and benefits designed to support employees’ work-life balance and professional growth, making it a rewarding opportunity for those interested in hospitality careers.
