Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a manufacturing or bakery setting is preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • willingness to work flexible shifts
  • adherence to safety and cleanliness standards
  • basic math skills for accurate record keeping

Job Qualifications

  • experience operating packaging or production equipment preferred
  • ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a team environment
  • basic literacy to complete production paperwork
  • knowledge of GMPs is beneficial
  • physical ability to move and handle product components
  • attention to detail when applying icings and toppings

Job Duties

  • packaging bakery products to be sent to Publix stores
  • operating palletizing equipment to stack containers of product on pallets
  • moving, dumping and scraping bowls and hoppers and ensuring pans are in place for product to be deposited
  • placing product on the production line and applying icing and toppings
  • cleaning equipment in accordance with good manufacturing practices with industrial strength chemicals
  • accurately completing all paperwork required by the position
  • other duties as assigned
