As a key player in agricultural and lawn care equipment distribution, the company prides itself on delivering top-notch value to its clientele while fostering a supportive and growth-oriented work environment for its employees.
Midwest Machinery is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join their team as an Equipment Delivery and Service Support Driver. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery and retrieval of equipment sold by the company's sales department and serviced by the service department. The role requires someone who is not only capable of handling the logistics of equipment transportation but also embodies the company’s core values and commitment to safety and customer service.
The Equipment Delivery and Service Support Driver is responsible for transporting both dealer and customer equipment safely between locations, including picking up equipment for service repairs and returning them upon completion. In addition to driving duties, this individual will maintain the condition of the service vehicle, trailer, and associated tools and equipment. The role includes practicing strict adherence to all safety protocols and completing all necessary reports and forms related to the assignments. This role is integral in supporting the sales and service teams by actively assisting in recruiting service work and interacting positively with customers and colleagues alike. It demands someone who can work independently with minimal direction while demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to workplace safety. The candidate should have proficient knowledge of turf equipment operations and the ability to utilize basic computer functions for attendance and time tracking related to repair orders. Experience with forklift operation and possession of a forklift license is preferred.
This position involves physical activity such as frequent bending, stooping, lifting up to 75 pounds repeatedly, and climbing onto trailers. Much of the work is performed outdoors and may require functioning in various weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, or snow. A valid drivers license with an insurable driving record is mandatory, and a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with tanker endorsement is preferred. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment background check.
Midwest Machinery offers a competitive total compensation package that reflects the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, along with internal team equity. Beyond base pay, the company provides a comprehensive benefits program including paid time off with various types of leave, 401k with company match, multiple health insurance options with HSAs, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage, voluntary benefits, and employee assistance programs. The company also supports its workforce with paid uniforms or clothing allowances and offers employee discount programs.
