Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid CDL Class A driver’s license
  • minimum of 2 years local delivery driving experience
  • clean driving record
  • ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
  • knowledge of relevant safety and transportation regulations
  • ability to operate freight handling equipment
  • strong customer service orientation
  • willingness to work day shifts
  • ability to lift heavy objects

Job Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A driver’s license
  • local delivery experience preferred
  • professional customer service skills
  • knowledge of local traffic routes
  • ability to operate pallet jacks and lift gates
  • ability to handle physical demands of loading and unloading freight
  • understanding of Department of Transportation regulations
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Transport freight in safe and prompt manner
  • interact with our clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner with limited supervision
  • comply with Department of Transportation regulations and laws
  • maintain responsibility for safety and security of company equipment and customer goods
  • load and unload trailers and move freight across the terminal dock, either individually or with the assistance of a co-worker, with or without mechanical freight handling equipment, as required
  • record quantity and type of shipments using bills of lading, delivery receipts, and tally sheets
  • maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations
  • hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking levers to raise and lower landing gear
  • fuel trucks and tractors
  • perform all other work-related duties as assigned
