Job Description

Southern Tire Mart is the largest commercial tire dealer in North America, recognized for being a leading provider of premium brand and retread tires. As a family-owned and operated business with national reach, Southern Tire Mart prides itself on a culture that emphasizes safety, growth, and customer-first service. The company has established itself as a trusted partner in the tire, automotive, and logistics industries by delivering reliable products and exceptional customer support. This position offers an opportunity to join a thriving national company committed to career advancement and workforce development. The employment type is full-time with various shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, along with opportunities for overtime as required.

The Delivery Driver role at Southern Tire Mart is essential in ensuring efficient and safe delivery of tires, wheels, and automotive parts to customers. Drivers are responsible for operating company vehicles—ranging from light to heavy-duty trucks depending on the license held—to perform daily pickup and delivery routes. This role demands a strong attention to safety, timely and courteous delivery, accurate documentation, and adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Delivery drivers play an integral part in supporting service technicians by transporting tires to and from service calls or jobsites, contributing to the company’s high level of customer satisfaction. Additionally, drivers assist with inventory organization, stocking, and cycle counts, helping maintain operational efficiency at Southern Tire Mart facilities.

Safety is paramount, and drivers must conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of their vehicles, promptly reporting any issues. Strong time management and communication skills are necessary to successfully complete delivery schedules and provide excellent customer service. The role requires physical ability to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds safely, often with the help of mechanical assistance. Prior delivery or route driving experience is preferred, and familiarity with inventory handling or customer service experience benefits candidates in this role. By joining Southern Tire Mart, drivers have access to a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being and professional development, including a 401(k) plan with company match, health insurance options, paid time off, and opportunities for growth within the company.
