The neurosurgeon role involves joining a team of three experienced neurosurgeons, a dedicated physician assistant, and a highly capable administrative staff, providing excellent support and resources. This position focuses on a variety of neurosurgical cases, encompassing lumbar laminectomy for stenosis, laminectomy for disc herniation, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, instrumented correction of spinal deformities, craniotomies for hematomas and tumors, as well as shunt placements. Job Requirements
- Valid medical license
- completion of neurosurgery residency
- specialized training or fellowship in complex spine surgery preferred
- minimum of 3 years experience in neurosurgery with focus on complex spine procedures
- ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- proficiency in surgical techniques for spine and cranial cases
- willingness to participate in on-call rotation
Job Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- completion of neurosurgery residency program
- board certification or eligibility in neurosurgery
- demonstrated experience in complex spine surgery
- ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- excellent surgical and clinical skills
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Perform complex spine surgeries including lumbar laminectomy for stenosis and laminectomy for disc herniation
- conduct anterior cervical discectomy and fusion procedures
- execute instrumented correction of spinal deformity
- perform craniotomies for hematoma and tumor removal
- place shunts as required
- collaborate with neurologists, trauma surgeons, neuroradiologists, and orthopedic spine surgeons
- participate in a 1:4 call schedule
