Job Description

Our client is a distinguished, independent, nonprofit healthcare system located in Northern California, strategically positioned between the vibrant cities of San Francisco and Sacramento, and just 30 minutes from the renowned Napa wine country. Established in 1960, the health system has grown to provide compassionate, advanced medical care close to home, ensuring patients do not have to travel far to access state-of-the-art healthcare services. The system features two hospitals—a 132-bed and a 50-bed facility—as well as an ambulatory surgery center. Their robust provider network includes 100 primary and specialty care professionals, making it one of the largest medical groups in the region. In addition, the system is a founding partner of Western Health Advantage, a nonprofit Health Maintenance Organization serving thousands annually in Northern California.

This healthcare system also holds the distinction of being the only Northern California member of the prestigious Mayo Clinic Care Network. This partnership allows their physicians to tap into the latest and most advanced medical knowledge and treatment options nationwide. The system's specialty services are extensive and include the county’s busiest Level II Trauma Center, Women’s and Children’s Services with a Level III Neonatal ICU, a comprehensive Cancer Center, and a cutting-edge Heart and Vascular Center. The latter encompasses a fully accredited chest pain center, interventional cardiology, and cardiac surgery services. Additional specialty offerings include the Center for Orthopedics and a neuroscience center that caters to primary stroke care, neuro-oncology, neurovascular treatment, and degenerative spine injury management. To promote holistic care, the system launched HealthSpring Fitness in 2016, a medically integrated fitness center providing unique exercise opportunities prescribed by doctors under their Movement Is Medicine program. Notably, both hospitals hold Magnet status from the American Nurses Credential Center for excellence in patient care, clinical outcomes, and nursing innovation.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Surgeon to join this esteemed medical group, coinciding with the upcoming opening of a brand-new hospital tower scheduled for October 2019. This new tower will feature state-of-the-art operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room designed for advanced surgical procedures and imaging. The selected surgeon will have the opportunity to perform cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries within a supportive and technologically advanced environment at a Level II trauma center and Chest Pain Center. This role is ideal for a proven leader eager to help develop and grow the cardiovascular surgery program within an organization committed to compassionate care and advanced medicine. The position offers a highly competitive compensation package including a guaranteed salary, generous sign-on bonus, relocation expense reimbursement, and a wRVU production bonus that rewards surgical productivity. Additionally, the health system supports career growth and leadership in a collaborative health environment dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes and innovation.
