The Physician Recruiter II role within CHRISTUS Health is a pivotal position responsible for managing the full cycle recruitment process for physicians and advanced practice providers across various ministries and specialties within the organization. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday work schedule, designed for an experienced professional who can operate with a high degree of autonomy. The role focuses not only on recruitment but also on strategic talent acquisition efforts that support organizational growth and expansion initiatives. The Physician Recruiter II acts as a trusted partner to ministry leadership, offering market intelligence, recruitment strategies, and workforce planning insights.
This role demands an individual capable of leading complex searches, developing targeted sourcing strategies, and building long-term relationships with candidates and industry partners. Responsibilities include conducting intake meetings, coordinating interviews and site visits, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience. Moreover, this recruiter will collaborate with compensation teams on offer recommendations and negotiate employment agreements. The ability to use data and recruitment metrics to evaluate pipeline performance and identify opportunities for improvement is also essential.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education required
- Minimum of one (1) year of physician, advanced practice provider, healthcare, or professional recruiting experience required
- Must be able to travel up to 40 percent across multiple states as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Minimum of one (1) year of physician, advanced practice provider, healthcare, or professional recruiting experience
- Three (3) or more years of physician recruitment experience preferred
- Experience utilizing an applicant tracking system (ATS), preferably Infor, preferred
Job Duties
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS competencies: leader of self, leader of others, or leader of leaders
- Independently manages the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned physician and advanced practice provider specialties, including complex and hard-to-fill positions
- Serves as the primary recruitment partner to ministry leadership by providing market intelligence, developing recruitment strategies, and leading executive recruitment update meetings through proactive communication
- Independently leads recruitment efforts for new clinics, service lines, and expansion initiatives by assessing staffing needs, developing recruitment strategies, and successfully executing recruitment plans with minimal oversight
- Develops and executes specialty-focused sourcing strategies to identify and engage highly qualified physician and advanced practice provider candidates
- Conducts comprehensive intake meetings, coordinates candidate interviews and site visits, and delivers an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
- Builds and maintains long-term relationships with physicians, residency and fellowship programs, training institutions, professional organizations, and industry partners to develop sustainable candidate pipelines
