Job Description
Vituity is a 100 percent physician-owned partnership that prides itself on empowering physicians with ownership, autonomy, and a supportive national healthcare system. Led by frontline physicians who are all equitable owners, Vituity is dedicated to creating a thriving, collaborative environment where physicians are valued as equal partners from day one. This unique ownership model ensures financial transparency and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including profit distribution and multiple career development opportunities. Physicians at Vituity enjoy local control over their practice coupled with the strength of a large national network of over 6,000 clinicians, allowing them to focus on delivering exemplary patient care. The company culture emphasizes teamwork, shared success, and a "culture of brilliance," where mutual support and recognition foster professional growth and fulfillment.
Vituity operates across 890 practices in the United States, serving approximately 14.5 million patients annually. Their commitment to physician well-being and professional success is demonstrated in the flexibility offered by the company's footprint, making it possible for physicians to relocate and maintain their employment within the same organization.
The current opportunity is for Emergency Medicine Physicians at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, Indiana. This is a Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, featuring a 350-bed facility with a 46-bed Emergency Department. The department manages an impressive annual patient volume of 50,000, with a 28 percent combined admit and transfer rate. Efforts to support physicians include Vituity Scribe support and excellent interprofessional collaboration involving ED physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, and consultants. The ED is double covered throughout the day with a 1.7 patients per hour rate, ensuring a manageable workflow and the delivery of high-quality care.
Qualified candidates can benefit from up to a $150,000 sign-on bonus. The position is open to Board Eligible or Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians, with those holding current state licenses or interest in working within an academic setting with residents being particularly encouraged to apply. This role represents an outstanding career opportunity for those seeking a balance of clinical autonomy, academic involvement, and support from a physician-centric organization.

As a regional hub, Evansville supports a solid job market, excellent schools, and a dynamic downtown filled with restaurants, shops, and events. The benefits of working with Vituity extend beyond competitive compensation. The company offers superior health plan options, dental and vision insurance, health savings accounts, as well as life and accidental death and dismemberment coverage. The partnership model allows for a K-1 tax status pay structure, enabling significant tax deductions. Vituity’s 401(k) plan is designed for high tax efficiency and accelerated growth, complementing the opportunity to receive annual profit distributions as a yearly cash bonus.
