The hiring establishment is a well-established, private Hospitalist group based in Oklahoma City, known for its collaborative culture and strong reputation within the healthcare community. This physician-led group prides itself on delivering exceptional inpatient care while fostering a supportive and stable work environment for its members. As a private group, the team enjoys autonomy in clinical decisions and practice management, which contributes to high job satisfaction and a cohesive work atmosphere. The group is actively expanding, offering excellent opportunities for physicians interested in long-term career growth within hospital medicine.
Oklahoma City serves as a vibrant backdrop to this promising career opportunity. With a population exceeding 1.3 million residents, the city exemplifies a balance of urban amenities and a welcoming community spirit. Known for its affordable cost of living, Oklahoma City allows physicians and their families to enjoy a high quality of life without the financial pressures often encountered in larger metropolitan areas. The city's cultural offerings include museums, theaters, professional sports teams, and a growing food scene, providing ample recreational activities outside of work. Additionally, its extensive outdoor spaces and parks support a healthy and active lifestyle. Convenient travel options are available via Will Rogers World Airport, which provides nonstop service to 25 major destinations, facilitating both business travel and leisure trips.
The current openings include both daytime and nocturnist positions, making it a versatile role catering to different physician preferences. The compensation package is highly competitive, with a starting salary of $318,000 or more, reflecting the group’s commitment to attracting top talent. Beyond salary, the benefits package is comprehensive and includes health insurance, malpractice coverage, and other valuable perks that safeguard physician well-being and peace of mind.
Clinically, the practice follows a balanced 7-on/7-off schedule, allowing physicians to maintain a work-life balance and prevent burnout—a crucial aspect of sustainable hospital medicine careers. Each shift typically involves 4 to 5 hospitalists, ensuring a manageable patient load with equitable distribution of rounding and admissions duties. This team-based approach facilitates collaboration and high standards of patient care. For those interested in leadership roles, there are ample opportunities to grow professionally within the group. Physicians who step into leadership positions can influence practice operations and contribute to ongoing improvements in clinical protocols and group dynamics.
This opportunity is ideal for hospitalists who seek a stable, supportive environment where they can focus on providing excellent patient care while enjoying a balanced professional and personal life. The group emphasizes collegiality, quality outcomes, and physician autonomy. Joining this team means becoming part of a respected network of healthcare providers who are committed to their patients and each other. It is an excellent chance to build a rewarding career in Oklahoma City, benefiting from the city's attractiveness and the practice’s strong foundation.
