This employment opportunity is for a full-time Family Medicine (FM) physician, with Internal Medicine (IM) candidates also considered. The role is based in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) located in a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) 18, emphasizing service to underserved patient populations. Physicians will work a 40-hour week, seeing approximately 18 patients per day. Candidates must be comfortable providing care to an underserved community, where compassionate and comprehensive care is paramount.

This employed position offers a competitive base salary up to $250,000 per year, supplemented by a $20,000 sign-on bonus. Additional benefits include full malpractice coverage, paid time off (PTO), 40 hours allocated for Continuing Medical Education (CME), 10 holidays, and sick leave. Relocation assistance is available and may include potential housing support, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires relocating to Santa Barbara.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an accredited residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Board certification required
  • Experience working with underserved populations preferred
  • Ability to work a 40-hour week
  • Must be willing to relocate to Santa Barbara
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to pass background checks and credentialing processes
