Job Description
Our client is a well-established healthcare provider located in Dothan, Alabama, seeking a skilled Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join their expanding team. This opportunity is perfect for board-certified or board-eligible cardiologists who desire a balanced professional environment focused on outpatient care without the demands of inpatient call. The practice serves a large and diverse patient base across southern Alabama, western Georgia, and northern Florida, recognized for its exceptional community loyalty and a strong payor mix that supports high-quality cardiovascular care.
The organization operates three state-of-the-art interventional suites, including a sophisticated hybrid room and two diagnostic/interventional rooms that support a range of cardiological procedures. They also possess a full-service electrophysiology (EP) lab outfitted with diagnostic and radiofrequency ablation capabilities, complete with the latest Carto EP mapping system. Equipped with anesthesia-ready rooms and anesthesia carts, the facility ensures comprehensive patient care for complex cardiac procedures. The diagnostic lab is well-stocked with echo, nuclear, stress testing, and cardiac ultrasound technologies, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes.
A dedicated cardiac rehabilitation gym and an experienced nursing team underscore the practice’s commitment to rehabilitative care, supported by an accredited Cardiac Rehabilitation program. The hospital boasts a cardiac care floor and cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU), further bolstering the continuum of cardiac care services. Moreover, the center is accredited by the American College of Cardiology for Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) capabilities and Heart Failure accreditation, showcasing its excellence in managing acute cardiac conditions.
Beyond the exceptional clinical facilities, the position offers a comprehensive financial package, including a competitive salary benchmarked against MGMA guidelines, a commencement bonus, and medical education debt assistance. Additional benefits include relocation expenses, residency/fellowship stipends if applicable, and continuing medical education allowance. The employer also provides vacation, health, dental, and vision insurance benefits alongside licensure support, professional dues, and subscriptions. Tenure bonuses are available as an added incentive, reflecting the organization's dedication to rewarding long-term commitment.
Dothan, Alabama, features southern charm, hospitality, a low crime rate, and a reasonable cost of living, making it an inviting place for physicians and their families. Its proximity to major cities and beaches offers lifestyle and recreational opportunities without sacrificing career growth and stability. The position supports J1 visa sponsorship, accommodating international medical graduates. This full-time, permanent role provides a rare blend of professional fulfillment, community involvement, and a comfortable lifestyle for heart specialists who seek to make a significant impact in cardiac care without the burden of inpatient workload.
