Job Description
Located in the heart of California's fertile Salinas Valley, this opportunity presents a unique chance to practice in a region famed for its exceptional agricultural heritage and rapid growth in agri-tech innovations. Salinas is celebrated for its abundant fresh produce, vibrant flower industries, and sprawling vineyards, making it not only a hub for agriculture but also a picturesque place to live and work. The city is steeped in history, reflecting influences from Victorian architecture to historic Spanish culture, offering a wide array of housing options from charming cottages and modern townhouses to spacious ranches surrounded by oak-dotted countryside. Its community-oriented neighborhoods provide diverse lifestyles suited to professionals and families alike seeking a balance of nature, culture, and convenience.
This position is offered by CompHealth, a market leader and Joint Commission Certified organization with over 40 years of experience in healthcare staffing solutions. CompHealth is dedicated to matching talented healthcare professionals with suitable practice opportunities tailored to their preferences, goals, and unique circumstances. This role includes a competitive salary range from $550,000 to $650,000 annually, variable based on experience and qualifications, with a generous $30,000 sign-on bonus and negotiable relocation assistance to ensure a smooth transition. Flexible vacation scheduling is available to maintain work-life balance while ensuring adequate patient coverage.
The role is designed for a qualified provider, specifically board certified or board eligible, interested in delivering general anesthesia services excluding cardiac and pediatric cases under the age of two. Call duties are manageable with a ratio of approximately 1:6 and include a post-call day off, ensuring time to recharge. The proximity of Salinas to Monterey (30 minutes) and San Francisco (two hours) offers access to both coastal beauty and a major metropolitan area, complemented by the region's renowned vineyards and coastal attractions.
In addition to competitive compensation and quality of life benefits, CompHealth offers comprehensive support services free of charge, assisting with salary negotiations, contract coordination, licensing procedures, and interview arrangements. Specialized recruiters work closely with candidates to align career aspirations with job opportunities, while experienced support teams manage all administrative details. Residents and fellows completing training in 2025 are encouraged to apply, making this an excellent entry point for new professionals seeking a career in a thriving agricultural community with cutting-edge healthcare facilities and supportive professional networks.
