The role of Physical Therapy Aide at PRN represents a vital position within their Spine & Sport Physical Therapy brand. This per diem/part-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $18-20 and involves working approximately 25 hours per week, primarily during standard clinic hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The position is based at the Chula Vista, CA location with occasional travel required to other clinics within the South Bay area. The Physical Therapy Aide plays a crucial supportive role by assisting patients as they transition to therapy areas, ensuring comfort and safety, and contributing to the overall positive clinic atmosphere. With responsibilities ranging from preparing treatment areas and managing therapy equipment, to providing administrative support such as scheduling, billing, and maintaining patient records, this role demands a versatile individual capable of multitasking and prioritizing patient care. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in healthcare or as a Physical Therapy Aide is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including moving equipment and assisting patients
  • Flexibility to travel between clinics within the South Bay area
  • Availability to work part-time, approximately 25 hours per week during clinic hours Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Additional education or training in healthcare is a plus
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting or as a Physical Therapy Aide preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach towards assisting individuals in need

Job Duties

  • Assist patients in transitioning to therapy areas, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Help create a positive work environment and clinic culture by ensuring patient needs are taken care of during transitional periods of therapy
  • Help provide customer service, a smile
  • Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas based on therapist instructions
  • Maintain organized patient records, schedule appointments, and handle billing procedures
  • Assist front office with front office tasks when down time occurs including but not limited to answering the phone, scanning documents into charts, scheduling patients, taking over the counter payments, filing, faxing, etc.
  • Aid therapists during therapy sessions by providing necessary materials and facilitating exercises
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment
  • Daily equipment cleaning, cleaning tables, laundry, stocking supplies
