Job Description

Banner Home Health, based in Tucson, Arizona, is a leading clinical care provider within the healthcare industry, specializing in skilled home care services. Recognized as one of the largest and most reputable home care agencies in the region, Banner Home Health boasts a four-star rating that highlights its commitment to quality and excellent patient outcomes. The agency serves a broad spectrum of patients, offering intermittent healthcare services in the comfort and safety of their own homes, which enables patients to recover effectively from acute hospital stays or short-term illnesses without the stress of institutional environments. Banner Home Health is part of the larger Banner Health network, which includes a robust support infrastructure comprising clinical supervisors, IT specialists, and quality improvement teams to assist its therapy staff in delivering outstanding care.

This position is for a Physical Therapist within the Banner Home Health Home Care Team located in Tucson. The role is categorized under clinical care and offers a daytime work shift from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. Eligible candidates can also benefit from a $10,000 sign-on bonus, reflecting the agency’s commitment to attracting top talent. The Physical Therapist role involves fieldwork within sub-assigned geographic territories designed to minimize travel and maximize patient contact, enhancing job satisfaction and efficiency. You will be empowered to work autonomously while receiving comprehensive clinical support, including a company-provided cell phone and tablet for documentation via an advanced electronic medical records system.

The Physical Therapist at Banner Home Health plays an integral role in evaluating, planning, and delivering specialized physical therapy services that promote patient independence and recovery. Treatment focuses on a wide array of clinical conditions such as post-operative orthopedic rehabilitation, neurological recovery, and cardiac rehabilitation, among others. This role requires adaptive skills to tailor therapy plans to each patient’s unique physical, cultural, and social circumstances, ensuring a holistic approach to healthcare. Therapy goals are set in collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers, fostering an inclusive environment to maximize therapeutic outcomes.

The agency prides itself on a highly collaborative approach, integrating with hospitals and physician networks to provide seamless patient care transitions from inpatient care to home health. Therapists are not only responsible for direct patient care but also for critical documentation, interdisciplinary communication, discharge planning, and supervising therapy assistants and technicians to deliver safe, quality, and cost-effective services. This comprehensive support system allows therapists to focus on clinical excellence while promoting professional growth and patient-centered care.

Banner Home Health’s mission is to set new standards in home healthcare by employing skilled clinicians who demonstrate clinical competence and continuous learning. Employees benefit from a supportive work environment, access to continuing education, and opportunities to contribute to departmental improvements. Banner Health actively supports diversity, a drug-free work environment, and equal employment opportunities for all candidates.
