Edenbrook Rochester is one of the skilled nursing facilities within the Eden Senior Care network, located in Rochester, Minnesota. We are currently seeking a motivated, positive, and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. This position offers both full-time and PRN employment opportunities. As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Edenbrook Rochester, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality rehabilitative care to our residents. Your work will be guided by company mission and standards, focusing on delivering compassionate therapy services that promote healing and enhance the quality of life for our patients. The role includes maintaining effective communication with patients and team members, performing treatment interventions, assisting with discharge planning, and adhering strictly to departmental policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Current Minnesota Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
  • Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in skilled nursing, home health, or rehabilitation settings preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain the standards for rehabilitation services in accordance with the company mission and goals
  • Be courteous to all patients and respectful of them, their environment and their culture
  • Provide quality therapy services at every patient contact, including treatment interventions, program implementation, discharge planning and related documentation and communication under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist
  • Prioritize and maintain a work schedule that is appropriate for the facility and in accordance with your employment
  • Assist therapy management staff in maintaining a positive, productive, and beneficial working relationship with all facility staff
  • Adhere to the policies and procedures necessary for day to day operations of the rehab department
  • Screen patients to determine the need for evaluation under the supervision of the PT
