Job Description
Jostens is a renowned company with a rich history spanning over 125 years in the student commemoration industry. As a leading provider of products that celebrate significant milestones, Jostens works closely with thousands of K-12 schools, colleges, universities, sports teams, and esteemed organizations across the United States. The company’s iconic offerings include yearbooks, letter jackets, class jewelry, and championship rings, all designed to preserve treasured traditions and inspire people to celebrate their unique stories and major achievements. With 13 state-of-the-art facilities worldwide, including locations in North America and the Caribbean, Jostens has established itself as a trusted leader in its field, committed to quality, innovation, and community engagement.
The Seasonal Photo Team Manager position presents a unique opportunity to become part of this distinguished organization’s expanding team. This hybrid role, starting on June 29, 2026, combines remote work with onsite responsibilities at various school locations, specifically requiring residency in Jacksonville, FL or nearby cities. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $23 to $25, full-time seasonal status with eligibility for healthcare benefits, and an average workload of 30+ hours weekly with potential overtime during peak periods. The schedule covers the busy season from June through November, with a possibility of extension into December based on event needs. Jostens emphasizes flexibility, providing paid training (no prior photography experience required) and a daily pay option through DailyPay.
As the Seasonal Photo Team Manager, you will spearhead and inspire a team of skilled photographers dedicated to capturing cherished moments for students from kindergarten through 12th grade and their families. This leadership role merges operational oversight, team management, training responsibilities, logistics coordination, and hands-on event involvement. You will ensure the smooth execution of school photo days, coordinating photographer scheduling, facilitating equipment logistics, and maintaining consistent communication with school contacts and team members. Your leadership will drive high standards of performance and attendance in line with JostensPIX photography protocols.
Your training duties include attending a three-day paid "Train the Trainer" session at JostensPIX Headquarters in Minnesota and conducting local pre-season training in cooperation with the Training Specialist. Throughout the season, you will provide ongoing support and guidance to new hires. Operational responsibilities comprise managing event logistics, coordinating equipment storage and pickups, and preparing gear for shipment at the season’s end. You will also partner with HR for interviewing and hiring photographers, manage photo day schedules, oversee expenses and travel arrangements, and lead virtual team meetings.
Additionally, your role requires hands-on participation, working some events as a photographer or event lead during busy times, troubleshooting technical issues, and traveling within your designated hub as necessary. The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience, strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, tech proficiency, and physical stamina to handle demanding photo days. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and travel is vital, alongside a valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle large enough for equipment transport.
Jostens values professionalism and reliability and expects employees to maintain a polished appearance and dependable communication methods. The company prioritizes inclusivity and equal opportunity, offering reasonable accommodations as needed. This role embodies Jostens’ commitment to fostering success in a fun, supportive environment, rewarding hard work with competitive compensation, health benefits, a 401K match, and various voluntary perks. Joining Jostens means contributing to a legacy of preserving meaningful memories and celebrating life’s milestones with a dedicated, passionate team.
