Job Requirements

  • Ability to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric patients
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months experience
  • Preferred one or more years of phlebotomy experience
  • Customer service in retail or service environment preferred
  • Keyboard and data entry experience a must

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
  • Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience
  • Customer service experience in retail or service environments preferred
  • Keyboard and data entry skills

Job Duties

  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing
  • Explain procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervisor's direction
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties
  • Maintain required records and documentation
