The organization adheres strictly to regulations and guidelines set forth by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), ensuring that all operations are conducted with the highest standards of safety, quality, and ethics. With a vision to improve health outcomes through the availability of blood and biologic products, OneBlood invests in innovative technologies and comprehensive donor services to maintain the trust and confidence of the communities it serves. As an equal opportunity employer, OneBlood is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace that supports veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other protected groups.

The role of Phlebotomist at OneBlood is a vital position responsible for performing blood collection procedures from donors in accordance with the organization's policies, FDA regulations, and AABB standards. This role involves a patient-focused approach, starting with obtaining accurate medical histories and vital signs from donors and patients to ensure their safety and eligibility for donation. The Phlebotomist performs various phlebotomy techniques to collect whole blood and blood components, demonstrating exceptional technical skill and attention to detail. In addition to collection duties, the Phlebotomist provides outstanding customer service and maintains professionalism at all times, ensuring a positive experience for donors. Given the nature of the work, the Phlebotomist must be comfortable in environments involving exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other potential hazards, while adhering to strict safety protocols. The physical demands include moderate lifting, carrying, and operating phlebotomy equipment, with the ability to work in various settings including mobile donation units.
