Serving over 50,000 patients, OneWorld focuses on addressing the needs of low-income and medically underserved populations through comprehensive medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy, and support services. The organization prides itself on creating an inclusive environment that respects and celebrates cultural differences, and promotes health equity through patient-centered care. As a cornerstone of community health in Nebraska, OneWorld Community Health Centers employs a dedicated workforce committed to improving health outcomes and enhancing quality of life for all individuals they serve.
The Pharmacy Technician position at OneWorld Community Health Centers offers a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven healthcare team that supports patients in managing medications safely and effectively. This full-time role (40 hours per week) involves rotating hours Monday through Friday between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm, with rotating Saturday shifts from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm. The Pharmacy Technician works closely with pharmacists to ensure the accurate dispensing, labeling, and preparation of medications. In addition to clinical functions, this role includes significant administrative responsibilities such as processing insurance claims, managing inventory, and maintaining records. A vital component of this position is providing interpretation and translation services, requiring proficiency in both English and Spanish, which is essential for effective communication in the diverse patient population OneWorld serves.
Pharmacy Technicians at OneWorld are classified into levels I, II, or III based on their licensing, skill set, and mastery of pharmaceutical knowledge. The Pharmacy Technician I classification requires registration and licensure within the state, along with specific certification and training. Apart from technical expertise, this position demands strong computer skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and critical thinking for troubleshooting and problem-solving. The role is integral in maintaining quality assurance standards within the pharmacy, including managing automated dispensing machines, tracking medication inventory, and ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.
This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about community health, medication safety, and supporting underserved populations. Working at OneWorld Community Health Centers means contributing to a dynamic, caring, and growing healthcare environment where you can truly make a difference in patients' lives. The organization offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and life insurance, tuition reimbursement, a 401(k) plan, and access to a free fitness center, supporting both personal and professional growth.
