Job Duties
- Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- registers sales on assigned cash register, provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in practice of pharmacy including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- engages customers and patients by greeting and offering assistance with products and services, resolves customer issues and answers questions
- models and shares customer service best practices with team members
- provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service
- recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion items
- processes customer purchases on cash register including voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
- assists customers in locating OTC products
- maintains clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves, takes inventory, and maintains records
- fills prescriptions by retrieving, counting, pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying correctness and checking for interactions
- reports prescription errors to pharmacist, adheres to pharmacy policies
- handles telephone calls that do not require pharmacist attention
- processes manual claims for third party prescription services
- supports inventory management including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals
- ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products
- constructs and maintains displays
- assists with product placement and stock rotation
- provides customer service in the photo area including digital passport photos and promotional products
- assumes web pick-up responsibilities
- assists with store maintenance and appearance
- complies with company policies and maintains respectful relationships
- completes special assignments and tasks
- earns and maintains PTCB certification and attends training for continuing education
- maintains knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy developments
