The role of a Walgreens Customer Service Cashier is essential to the company’s mission of providing a superior customer experience. You will operate cash registers, process refunds, returns, voids and exchanges accurately, and handle cash responsibly.

Job Requirements

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
  • Ability to operate cash registers
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Must be able to resolve customer issues effectively

Job Duties

  • Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
  • Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive experience
  • Processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
  • Recommends items for sale and trade-up or companion products
  • Operates pharmacy systems to obtain prescription status and reports errors
  • Maintains clean, well-merchandised counters and shelves
  • Checks in and prices merchandise
  • Implements asset protection procedures
  • Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products
  • Constructs and maintains promotional displays
  • Assists with store maintenance and complies with company policies
  • Attends training and completes personal development learning modules
