As a Customer Service Associate at Walgreens, you will be responsible for providing courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service at assigned cash registers. You will model and deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting and assisting customers, answering their questions, and resolving any issues to ensure satisfaction. You will also be expected to follow company policies related to asset protection and comply with laws regarding the sale of regulated products like alcoholic beverages and tobacco. The role requires familiarity with store systems and equipment, and the ability to assist in operational tasks such as maintaining store appearance and completing special assignments as directed by management. Job Qualifications
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
Job Duties
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Register sales on assigned cash register and provide courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers
- Register customer purchases, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges
- Recommend items for sale and trade-up or companion products
- Assist with OTC products and guide customers to appropriate aisles
- Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status and report errors to pharmacist
- Maintain clean and well-merchandised counters and shelves, take inventory, and maintain records
- Check in and price merchandise as directed
- Implement company asset protection procedures
- Ensure compliance with laws regarding the sale of regulated products
- Construct and maintain in-store displays including promotional and seasonal merchandise
- Complete resets, revisions, and assist with store maintenance
- Comply with company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers
- Attend training sessions and complete assigned learning programs
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned
