Holy Cross Hospital, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is a distinguished full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and a proud member of Trinity Health. As a part of one of the largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems in the United States, Holy Cross Hospital delivers compassionate, holistic, and person-centered care to its communities. It stands as the only Catholic hospital serving Broward and Palm Beach counties and plays a significant role in the Trinity Health network, which spans 21 states and facilitates nearly 2.8 million healthcare visits annually. The hospital embodies a spirit of service guided by the Gospel, fostering an environment of respect, communication, accountability, and trust among its staff and patients alike. Their commitment to excellence extends from cutting-edge clinical services to a deeply rooted community-focused mission, providing a workplace that values compassion and holistic healing. Comprehensive benefits begin from the first day of employment, including a robust retirement savings program with employer matching, emphasizing both immediate and long-term support for their dedicated staff. Holy Cross Hospital ensures an inclusive workplace where equal opportunity is paramount, with policies against discrimination based on race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability, or any other protected categorization under federal, state, or local law.

The position of Staff Pharmacist at Holy Cross Hospital is an integral role within the hospital's pharmacy department. This full-time opportunity consists of four 10-hour shifts weekly, encompassing a mix of morning and afternoon shifts along with occasional night shifts and every other weekend working schedule, designed to maintain seamless pharmaceutical care around the clock. Candidates for this role must have oncology experience as the role will involve floating to the Cancer Center, supporting specialized chemotherapy and oncology medication management. The role emphasizes accuracy in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications, ensuring patient safety and therapeutic effectiveness. The staff pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing patient charts, monitoring medication therapies, and providing counsel on medication use and side effects, in close collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team. This collaboration supports informed medication decisions and improves patient outcomes. Additionally, the pharmacist contributes to pharmacy management tasks such as managing the hospital formulary, overseeing medication inventory, and supervising pharmacy support staff. Maintenance of compliance with stringent regulatory standards, sterile product preparation protocols, and drug safety guidelines is also critical to this position. A significant sign-on bonus of $15,000 is offered for this position, reflecting the hospital's commitment to attracting experienced talent. This role provides a rewarding opportunity for pharmacists who are passionate about oncology and patient-centered care in a faith-based healthcare environment.
