This regular, full-time employee role operates on a day shift schedule with 40 hours per week, offering a stable and rewarding work environment. The Pharmacist position is based in the pharmacy department of the hospital and supports various clinical processes that enhance treatment quality, reduce medication errors, and contribute to both clinical and financial performance outcomes. Additionally, your responsibilities will include educating and training pharmacy staff, residents, students, and other healthcare team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
This role requires a Pharmacy degree from an accredited school and at least two years of experience or completion of a PGY1 residency program. Candidates must hold a valid pharmacist license from the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy and are encouraged to possess specialty certifications from recognized boards such as Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP), Board Certified Cardiology Pharmacist (BCCP), or other pharmacy specialty certifications. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification is required within 90 days of employment.

Job Requirements
- pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- two years experience or completion of PGY1 residency
- valid pharmacist license from Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy
- basic life support healthcare provider (BLS HCP) certification within 90 days of employment
- ability to perform frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects weighing 0-25 lbs
- ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot, leg, hand and arm movements
- frequent use of vision and depth perception for near and far distances
- frequent use of hearing and speech for communication
- frequent keyboard use and data entry
- occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping

Job Qualifications
- pharmacy degree from accredited school of pharmacy
- two years of experience or completion of PGY1 residency
- valid pharmacist license from Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy
- board certification in at least one specialty area such as BCACP, BCCP, BCCCP, BCGP, BCIDP, BCNP, BCNSP, BCOP, BCPPS, BCPS, BCPP, BCSCP, BCTXP, or CSP
- basic life support healthcare provider (BLS HCP) certification within 90 days of employment
Job Duties
- provides pharmaceutical care in their specialty practice area including review and evaluation of patient drug and medical history and providing drug therapy recommendations
- plans, implements, performs and measures clinical processes to improve treatment outcomes and minimize adverse drug events
- coordinates drug utilization evaluations (DUEs), analyzes trends and evaluates data for committee reports
- creates a culture of learning and sharing through coaching, motivation and empowerment
- implements staff development and participates in training of pharmacists, residents, students and healthcare providers
- promotes interdisciplinary teamwork including development and implementation of clinical pathways and protocols
- works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
