Part of Delaware North, a global leader in hospitality and food service, Patina Restaurant Group embodies a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous learning, making it a top choice for hospitality professionals seeking dynamic career opportunities.

Currently, Patina Restaurant Group is seeking dedicated Cooks to join the team for the prestigious PGA Championships. This seasonal event opportunity involves working on-site at various marketplaces within the tournament grounds, providing culinary support to ensure guests have a remarkable dining experience. The position requires flexibility, as employees will be scheduled for one of two detailed shift rotations spanning eight consecutive days. A mandatory orientation day on Sunday, May 10th, is required to be eligible for continued work throughout the event week.

The Cook role is ideal for individuals with previous kitchen experience who are passionate about food preparation and keen to contribute within a fast-paced, high-profile environment. Responsibilities include preparing food items according to specified recipes and quality standards, ensuring proper portion control, and maintaining food safety protocols. This role demands proficiency with kitchen equipment such as knives, grills, ovens, slicers, and warmers, along with a commitment to maintaining organized, clean, and sanitary workstations.

Beyond culinary skills, successful candidates will demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with kitchen and service staff. Reliability and punctuality are critical, as employees who complete all eight days without tardiness or absences are eligible for a performance bonus. In addition, Cooks play a vital role in monitoring food freshness, properly storing ingredients, minimizing waste, and completing inventory and closing duties as assigned.

The working environment can be physically demanding—requiring standing for extended periods, manual dexterity for food prep, and the ability to handle heavy kitchen equipment safely. Candidates must be able to thrive in busy, sometimes hot and damp conditions while upholding the highest health and sanitation standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals looking to gain valuable experience working a significant sporting event while being part of a reputable organization that values excellence and guest satisfaction. Embrace the challenge of fast-paced event catering and join Delaware North's Patina Restaurant Group as a Cook for the PGA Championships.

Employment during the championship is temporary and involves scheduled shifts between early morning and early evening hours as outlined in the detailed schedule. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and the chance to earn bonus incentives based on attendance and performance.
